název Extracellular ATP as Signaling Molecule Inhibits Endocytic Recycling and Root Gravitropism
anotace Extracellular ATP (eATP) is also known as a signal molecule both in mammal and plant cells. In mammals, eATP studies have accelerated since that the purinoceptor was cloned from brain in 1978 (Abbracchio and Burnstock, Pharmacol. Ther. 64: 445-475, 1994). By contrast, plant-specific purinoceptor was discovered only recently (Choi et al, Science 343: 290-294, 2014). We have analyzed the expression of Arabidopsis eATP receptor gene At5G60300 by microarray database of the Genenvestigator (https://www.genevestigator.com/). This analysis showed higher expression in root tissues. It is emerging that eATP plays important roles for environmental sensing and plant adaptation. The aim of our present study is to investigate the mechanisms of eATP signaling in Arabidopsis root apex.
