název Signaling, cytoskeleton a vezikularny transport v rastlinnom koreni
anotace Two main research topics of our laboratory are: “Plant signalling networks” and “Development of polarity in plants”, both depending on signal transduction cascades, cytoskeleton and endomembranes. My research team is using integrated genetic, physiological, cell biological, biochemical and proteomic approaches in order to better understand information transduction in plants in relation to the plant stress physiology (both abiotic and biotic stress). We are studying root and root hair development as well as abiotic interactions between plants and soil bacteria using plant model species such as Arabidopsis and Medicago. To this aim we are employing high throughput proteomic methods as well as advanced cell biology techniques such as live laser confocal microscopy to study interplay between mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), endomembranes (Golgi and endosomes) and cytoskeleton.
